Hospital Preparedness Program
Since 2005 the Colorado Rural Health Center has contracted with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to serve as a sub-recipient and fiscal agent for a portion of the Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) funding. As a fiscal agent, CRHC distributes HPP funds to health care facilities/organizations across Colorado to help enhance their emergency preparedness capabilities and capacities. These facilities/organizations have included Acute Care Hospitals, Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), Medical Reserve Corps (MRCs), Regional Emergency and Trauma Councils (RETACs, Emergency Medical Services, Long Term Care, Behavioral Health, Health Care Coalitions, and other related organizations.
CRHC is not only a fiscal agent with a proven multi-layer process of fund distribution, monitoring and reporting, we also provide technical assistance, support and guidance to help health care facilities/organizations navigate the HPP funding and receive the training, equipment, and supplies they require.
