Emery Shekiro, Population Health Epidemiologist

As a CRHC Data Analyst, Emery Shekiro’s work includes quantitative and qualitative analysis to track trends and identify burden across Colorado’s rural counties.  Prior to joining CRHC, Emery developed several years of experience at both Denver Public Health and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and now hopes to use her experience in behavioral health and chronic disease epidemiology to help build capacity throughout rural Colorado.  Emery earned a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in epidemiology from East Tennessee State University in May 2016. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health sciences and public health education from James Madison University in May 2014.

When not crunching data, Emery enjoys taking her dog on ski tours, trail running, climbing, and taking on home DIY projects.
