The Colorado Rural Healthcare Conference
April 15th-17th, 2026 | Broomfield, CO
The Colorado Rural Healthcare Conference is CRHC’s newest event, combining our previous Forum and Annual Conference together to foster collaboration and strengthen the rural healthcare delivery system. With two different tracks catering to hospitals and clinics separately, this conference is designed to bring a variety of rural healthcare partners together to dive deep into topics most relevant to their roles and organizations, and inspire solutions to the health related challenges rural communities face.
In addition to specialized tracks, attendees will come together to share keynote sessions, networking opportunities, and an exhibitor showcase, which will allow participants to exchange ideas, form partnerships, and explore the latest innovations and resources tailored for rural health settings.

- Outline the vital distinctions between clinical documentation protocols vs. professional coding rules vs. varying requirements of insurance payers vs. reporting accurate quality metrics (if required by payers).
- Identify solutions to the inherent limitations of EHRs, templates, and billing software with a goal to increase revenue, facilitate quality reporting, and decrease audit risk.
- Review the AMA’s E/M documentation guidelines with a focus on selecting the proper level of service based on time vs. medical decision making and the distinction between proper reporting of “Sick” and “Well” visits.

Sessions from 11am-4pm will include education and discussion from subject matter experts and best practices from those working in rural health clinics, community health centers and other safety net practices as well as partner organizations in support of the safety net. At the end of the day from 4:14pm – 5:15pm, we will have a networking event that will include students and residents interested in careers in the safety net. We will provide a “mixer” style space for you to share out job and rotation opportunities and build relationships with our future workforce!

This event is being put together by a team of collaborative organizations joining forces to host a day of learning around education, training, recruitment, retention, and staff development.
Purpose: To bring together all types of safety net clinics and education partners to engage around opportunities on how best to educate, train, welcome, recruitment, and retain the health care workforce.
