About Beyond Energy
Beyond Energy takes a comprehensive approach to energy procurement that assesses, on a location-by-location basis, electricity (EL) & natural gas (NG) usage and efficiency. With an initial baseline, support of finance aligning with facilities, and aggregation groups, they establish options for purchasing that create optimal savings opportunities and budget stability.

Free Energy Assessment and Healthcare Energy Performance Scorecard
Beyond Energy provides a free comprehensive energy analysis that evaluates energy sources, efficiency, and sustainability while considering both economic and environmental impacts. The Beyond Energy team applies data-driven methodologies to assess the reliability and cost-effectiveness of different energy options while integrating technological advancements. The analysis remains objective, balancing short-term and long-term energy demands with policies in mind that promote innovation and resilience.
After the Free Energy Assessment, facilities will receive a Scorecard as a deliverable to help understand how the building is currently performing, and highlight the potential for improvement posed by engaging with Beyond Energy’s “Performance Based” service.
This program will highlight the significance of onsite energy management in achieving sustainable growth and reducing dependence on capital improvement as the sole reason for efficiency. Ultimately, the goal is to provide a well-rounded framework that guides decision-makers toward optimizing energy costs through rate management and usage without compromising future budgetary expectations.
Healthcare Energy Data Request Form
The Healthcare Energy Data Request Form is a pre-qualification form to gather facility building and utilities information for any CRHC Member that wants to move right into the initial no-charge assessment phase.

Past Webinar: Competitive Energy Procurement and Energy Efficiency Management for Healthcare Facilities
| In this session, which took place October 10th, 2024, we explored how hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare buildings can optimize their energy usage and significantly reduce costs through strategic energy procurement and management services, all under a “no capital improvement cost” model.
Healthcare facilities face unique challenges when it comes to energy efficiency. With 24/7 operations, high energy demands, and complex equipment requirements, maintaining a balance between operational efficiency and cost savings is crucial. In this session, we learned about solutions that allow healthcare providers to enhance their energy performance without upfront capital expenses. The focus of this presentation is on how competitive energy procurement can secure the best rates, while energy efficiency management strategies ensure reduced consumption, improve sustainability, and enhanced operational efficiency.

Meet the Beyond Energy Team
Nick Lafferty, President and Principal Energy Specialist
Nick Lafferty has been providing energy sustainability services for years before “energy” became a national catch phrase. His background was founded in healthcare, where the environment of care trumps all cost concerns. He helped develop energy consulting services “best practice” guidelines for many of the nation’s leading operational improvement leaders.
His program was recognized for its innovation because of his deep understanding of energy markets, policy frameworks and advanced energy systems. Before he turned 35, he was responsible for all the North American efficiency engineers and energy marketeers for many of those organizations. He was responsible for millions of dollars saved and billions of pounds of CO2 removed from our environment.
In 2023, Nick founded Beyond Energy. He turned his attention to mid-market in rural communities in need of a way to focus on energy efficiency without “breaking the bank.” He strives every day to enhance his members and their community’s government, educational systems, commercial businesses and healthcare providers by advocating, implementing and maintaining energy costs without exhausting capital to do so. Beyond Energy is currently working to support dozens of school districts, towns and healthcare facilities in rural communities.
