On May 29th, Governor Hickenlooper signed into law House Bill 18-1128, to strengthen protections for consumer data privacy. This new law includes health related data and thus intersects with HIPAA; one of its hallmarks is a much shorter breach notification timeframe (30 days) to the consumer/patient than HIPAA.
Our HIPAA Expert, David Ginsberg, will hold a special webinar on complying with this new law and HIPAA.
