Overall Purpose:
Through continuing review of new developments and new research in public health and health care, previous CE activity evaluation and the judgment of the CE planning group, we identified a gap between healthcare and public health practitioner’s competencies as it relates to maintaining privacy and security in the HIT/HIE environment. This series of webinars in designed to increase practitioners’ competencies to improve health care decision-making; support patient-centered care and improve the quality and safety of medication management. The purpose of this specific webinar is to illustrate how health IT can impact chronic disease care.
