These past few months, Colorado Provider Recruitment (CPR) took to the road, working hard to represent rural clinics and hospitals in recruitment efforts all across the country. CPR attended CareerMD Fairs in Arizona and Florida, meeting with providers and promoting rural Colorado. We attended the National Health Service Corps Scholar Conference in Texas, helping those who have NHSC loan repayment obligations find great places to live and work in our state.
When attending the American Academy of Family Physicians Conference in Missouri, CPR was able to tell providers just how wonderful Colorado really is. We also attended the National Rural Recruitment and Retention Network Conference in Washington and the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters Conference in California in order to stay current in recruitment strategies and learn from other experts in the field.
A little closer to home, Kit Carson County Health Service District finished their Community Health Needs Assessment with the help of Colorado STRIDES and CRHC Senior Advisor Tommy Barnhart. This process, a series of meetings and analyses are designed to assess healthy living and locate areas of improvement.
Yes, it has been a busy few months for Colorado Provider Recruitment, and we are happy to report that spirits are high. As always, if you have any questions or comments feel free to contact us at cpr@coruralhealth.org.
