In an effort to draw attention to the wide range of issues that impact rural health, November 18-22, 2013 has been declared Pennsylvania Rural Health week by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett. The request for the proclamation was made by the Pennsylvania Office of Rural Health. Governor Tom Corbett made the proclamation to promote awareness of the full range of issues that impact rural health care throughout the Commonwealth and the health status of rural Pennsylvanians.
