It’s an exciting time for Colorado Rural Health Center this week as we approach our 16th Annual Forum conference.  Rural healthcare in Colorado is confronting a time of many changes and we’re meeting these changes during a time of larger nation-wide change.  CRHC is committed to continuing to bring together experts on a variety of topics in forums like this, to ensure rural health facilities remains at the cutting edge.

I’d like to give you an idea of what you can expect and what we hope to achieve over the next few days.  We have six kickoff and keynote presentations, with notable speakers such as Bill Finerfrock, Joe Tye, and Carole Hemmelgarn.  In addition, there are 18 breakout sessions, ranging from HIT to integrated care and cultural transformation – among many other topics.  Friday morning consists of four in-depth workshops, including topics such as grassroots advocacy, advanced billing, quality improvement and motivational interviewing.

Throughout this conference, attendees will engage, network and collaborate to keep us proactive and help us shape the future of rural healthcare in Colorado.

We are keeping registration open up to the start of the conference, so I encourage those that are not registered to consider joining us.  To our urban partners, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about rural-specific health issues and meet over 100 rural health providers, administrations and staff from many of Colorado’s rural health clinics and critical access hospitals.
