Colorado Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation Site is Open

Colorado Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation Site is Open

The Colorado Registration & Attestation site (R&A) for eligible professionals (EP)s for program year 2015 opened on April 29, 2016. The R&A will have a 60-day attestation window for EPs and will close on June 30th so please plan accordingly.

For Hospitals: the site is expected to open Fall 2016 for eligible hospitals (EH)s and critical access hospitals (CAH)s for 2015 program year attestations. Please refer to the HIT Blog for up-to-date information.

Changes to the Registration and Attestation Site

Modifications have been made to the R&A to reflect the changes to the Incentive Program late last year. The Colorado Eligible Professional User Manual contains descriptions of all aspects of the EHR incentive program i.e. program definitions, how to establish patient volume, payment methodology, registration, eligibility, and attestation. The manual will assist with navigating the attestation site and should be used as a step-by-step guide.

EP Workbooks and De-Identified List Update

The Department of Healthcare Policy and Financing (HCPF) has made a determination that the EP eligibility workbook will not be required for upload into the CO R&A during attestation. The Group Eligibility Workbook however will be required for providers establishing patient volume eligibility as a group. The Medicaid Eligibility Verification De-Identified List will not be required for either EPs or groups.

Please note, 2016 is the last year to begin participation in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program to receive incentive dollars.
