The nation’s first National Prevention and Health Promotion Strategy (National Prevention Strategy) was released last week by U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, MD. The Strategy’s goal is to increase the number of Americans who are healthy at every stage of life and provides strategic directions and priorities to address health disparities and create healthier workplaces, schools, and communities.
