CEO Update: Celebrating the Power of Rural
November is always a time to give thanks. We are so thankful for all of our rural communities! We appreciate all you do to serve your communities day in and day out. Thank you!!!!! November 18, 2021 was the 11th Annual National Rural Health Day, which is celebrated yearly on the third Thursday in November. Thank you for celebrating the #powerofrural with us. National Rural Health Day is not just a day. It is a movement to celebrate and raise awareness of rural communities.

Southeast Colorado Hospital served as our featured host site for the day, celebrating by having a coloring contest for the schools in the county and celebrating one another for the amazing work they do and for the care they provide to their community.
Many rural hospitals around the country were also recognized by the Chartis Group, a partner of CRHC who are an independent healthcare advisory firm and provide rural hospitals with the Hospital Strength INDEX, which is a comprehensive program for comparing all acute care hospitals across a continuum of financial, value-based and market-driven performance indicators based on publicly available data. We were not only honored to have Governor Polis recognize National Rural Health Day with a proclamation, but we are also proud to share that for the first time, we have a Presidential Proclamation marking this important day.
