CEO Update: On the Road Again
Wasn’t there an old Willie Nelson song called “On the road again?” Yes there was and I know you are singing it now in your head. Well, it’s summer and we are finally out of the pandemic and CRHC is on the road again! Our team is so excited to visit you in person.

I’m also excited to share that CRHC just released the Agenda for our Annual Conference being held October 4 – 6, 2023 at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center.
This year we have a fantastic line up starting on Wednesday with the Critical Access Workshop including Legal and Regulatory Updates, Grant Funding, Leadership, Quality Improvement, Hospital Strength Index, sharing, networking and more. On Wednesday we are also hosting a Career Fair from 9:00 – Noon where hiring managers from Rural Health Clinics, Critical Access Hospitals, Community Health Centers and other Safety Net Clinics meet candidates from all health profession titles including students and Residents. Thursday and Friday (October 5 and 6) is our Annual Conference.
At CRHC, we know rural facilities are struggling. We have a lineup of speakers who aim to help. Harold Miller will give a keynote presentation on “Saving Rural Hospitals and Strengthening Rural Healthcare: Creating a Better Payment Systems for Rural Providers.” Harold will be followed by Brock Slabach from the National Rural Health Association and Kelly Erb from CRHC to discuss the Save Rural Hospitals Act and engage members in a discussion around saving rural hospitals. Medicare updates, policy, Rural Connectivity Program, Rural Behavioral health Integration: Partnering to Move from Crisis to Innovation, Surprise Billing and Price Transparency, IT, Telehealth, Advancing Health Equity, APGAR Program, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, a keynote by Michelle Rathman on A Recipe for Thriving in an Industry Teetering on Life-Support and so much more.
