The Colorado Rural Health Center (CRHC) is seeking a Workforce Coordinator with the passion and skills to deliver high quality coaching, technical assistance and coordination of resources to rural healthcare facilities throughout Colorado. CRHC is a non-profit organization that serves as the State Office of Rural Health and has been serving the state of Colorado since 1991. CRHC’s mission is to enhance healthcare services in Colorado by providing information, education, linkages, tools and energy toward addressing rural healthcare issues. By joining our dedicated team, you will be helping a diverse and inclusive statewide constituency of over 180 rural healthcare facilities and have impact on improving the provider workforce shortage in Colorado’s rural hospitals and clinics.

As our Workforce Coordinator, you will:

  • Provide technical assistance to rural hospitals, clinics and job seekers through an understanding of workforce strategies and issues
  • Participate in research driven project/s that require interviewing of healthcare leadership and providers, coordination of schedules and travel, requiring high level of professionalism
  • Maintain and prepare program, grant and contract-related activities, records and reports
  • Provide outreach and communication to all stakeholders
  • Present at healthcare professional training programs
  • Engage in the CRHC Strategic and DEI Action Plans as well as team and cross departmental collaboration

CRHC’s mission is to enhance healthcare services in Colorado by providing information, education, linkages, tools and energy toward addressing rural healthcare issues. As one of our Quality Improvement Specialists, you will:

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver coaching and technical assistance for rural healthcare facilities through CRHC’s programs, grants, and fee-for-service activities.
  • Apply your knowledge of quality improvement methods within the healthcare setting to assist rural facilities with understanding, interpreting, and implementing change; and identifying opportunities for learning and sharing lessons learned with other participating facilities as applicable.
  • Function as a key member of the team, often serving as a mentor to other team members and assisting with refinement of existing programs and development of new programs. This includes applying content knowledge in the areas of chronic disease management; health information technology; coaching for organizational change; quality improvement data analysis skills; and training development and facilitation.
  • Connecting and communicating with other related programs to ensure coordinated efforts and working with other team members to develop materials to educate and inform healthcare providers.
  • Develop solid working relationships with the organization’s members and key stakeholders.

As our Programs Coordinator, you will:

  • Be responsible for activities and communications that strengthen Colorado’s general rural health infrastructure.
  • Administer the education and training grant application process, managing all activities of the expert review
  • committees, maintaining all pertinent grant-related records, files, documents, and reporting.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports per contract requirements.
  • Provide presentations at coalition meetings, conferences, and other events on grant-related activities.
  • Provide programs and services by working with rural and urban hospitals, clinics, healthcare coalitions, RETACs, first responder agencies and other healthcare facilities and agencies.
  • Build relationships with organizational partners and funders to leverage resources to strengthen rural healthcare and emergency services education statewide.
