Emergency preparedness for healthcare providers is not a new concept, unfortunately neither are the struggles associated with facilitating an effective emergency management program in a rural healthcare setting. Many factors and other daily challenges demonstrate the need for a creative approach to developing and enhancing an emergency management program. This session will focus on best practices for developing and reviewing plans, efficient methods to develop and deliver training, and tactics to exercise plans and procedures without significantly interrupting the regular activities of the facility.
