COVID-19 vaccination talking points for rural community leaders: Key facts and messages derived from NRHA research on common questions, concerns, and attitudes shared by rural Americans.
COVID-19 vaccine resources: To help you navigate the many regional and national resources, NRHA has developed a library of those most relevant to rural leaders.
You are not alone in your efforts to build COVID-19 vaccine confidence in your rural community. NRHA believes our role is to provide tools and guidance to help you do just that. In partnership with membership organizations of the COVID Collaborative, NRHA has curated this concise, rural-focused resource library aimed at helping rural leaders start vaccine conversations in their communities.

| NRHA recently joined the Count Me In COVID-19 vaccine education and equity project, which aims to motivate and inspire people to fight the pandemic by sharing their stories. NRHA has also added new items to our COVID-19 resources page, including NACCHO’s tool for understanding diverse communities and supporting equitable vaccination decisionmaking; resources addressing vaccine hesitancy in Latinx communities; a collaborative vaccination education education campaign aimed at public health, Black and Hispanic communities, communities of faith, and corporations; and much more. NRHA will continue to advocate for rural communities to have the resources they need. The association has teamed up with the Chartis Center for Rural Health to examine the process of providing COVID-19 vaccinations to rural hospital staff. Take a few minutes to offer your perspective so best practices can be shared. |

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is working to meet vaccine staffing needs while also ensuring resources are distributed equitably. If you are in need of staffing to support vaccine distribution at your facility, please complete the following form to request COVID VACCINE SUPPORT!!
This form is NOT for requesting vaccine.
This form is NOT for requesting ancillary supplies.
This form is NOT for individuals to request their personal vaccination.
The State has established the following priorities for vaccination staffing fulfillment:
1. Local Public Health Agencies
2. Other state or federal agencies (DHSEM, CDOC & CDHS)
3. Other private healthcare clinics, hospitals or employers
If you do not fall into one of the above categories, please contact your Local Public Health Agency for more information on vaccinations in your county.

Returning to Healthcare Safely Together Toolkit
CRHC has assembled a toolkit of communications resources aimed at letting members of your community know that you are ready to welcome them back safely to your facilities.
As all of us know, COVID-19 has been a most challenging time for us all. At the Colorado Rural Health Center, we remain committed to being a trusted and valuable resource to our members, and this includes finding new ways to assist you in bringing community members back to healthcare safely.
To help support your communication efforts, CRHC has created a communication toolkit we are calling, “Returning to Healthcare Safely Together.” It is my pleasure to share this collection of tools with you, which include:
- Sample flyer and letter that can be sent to patients electronically
- Social media graphics that emphasize the key messages about returning safely
- PowerPoint slides that you may wish to share with community groups during a video chat or display on monitors throughout your facilities
- Floor decal that emphasizes the social or physical distancing message required at all locations
- Public Service Announcement to share with local radio stations, record for your clinic’s on-hold message, and use it in social media
Each item in the toolkit is designed for your organization to semi-customize with your logo and other information. For example, the letter template is presented as a WORD document. You can easily insert your organization’s name, website address, and edit the content to match your specific set of circumstances. Keep in mind; you can either add your logo to these items (instructions on how to do so are on the following pages) or use the tools as they are as a member of CRHC.
