CEO Update: Gratitude, Hope, and The Climb

CEO Update: Gratitude, Hope, and The Climb

As I was watching the season finale of the Voice, I was reminded of the song by Miley Cyrus called The Climb.  The song basically talks about the struggles in life and not giving up, even when things are hard and you can’t see to the other side.  I think this song really describes 2020 and the struggles our world is facing. Despite our struggles, I continue to have gratitude and hope.

I have gratitude for all of our amazing healthcare workers, first responders, essential workers and everyday people.  To our healthcare workers, especially those in rural communities that were already facing workforce shortages that have become even greater this fall, I thank you.

Now that the vaccine is starting to be delivered, we all have great reasons to hope that there is now a light at the end of the tunnel.  While we still face tough days ahead, we should keep Mylie Cyrus’s lyrics in mind:

Keep on moving, keep climbing
Keep the faith,
It’s all about, it’s all about the climb
Keep your faith, keep your faith

On behalf of CRHC staff and the CRHC board I wish you all a happy holiday and we appreciate your support and service.
